A briefish word on shipping to overseas (i.e. non UK) countries

Humorous mock up of the Royal Mail logo, changed to read 'Royal Fail'

Right, this is isn't the way I wanted to kick off reopening the shop, but needs must sometimes.

As of now, the shop will only be able to ship to UK destinations - this is only very temporary all being well, but for anyone wanting to know why;

Essentially, when I closed the original iteration of the shop a few years ago, I had a business account with RM which enabled me to offer worldwide shipping at very (comparatively speaking) reasonable rates, although this account is still active I can't log in to certain interfaces that render it usable, I can't see our business rates for shipping and I can't get any bugger at Royal Mail to actually assist me in resurrecting the account to it's former glory - as such, we're stuck with the online prices that any Tom, Dick and Harry can access for the time being, and it's bloody annoying for all concerned.

As anyone who has had the dubious pleasure of dealing with Royal Mail in any way shape or form will tell you, getting sense out of them, or getting them to do ANYTHING AT ALL, is a task that would test the patience of Gandhi.

Because the prices are so high, I'm not going to offer to ship anywhere outside of the UK until the issue is sorted - because to be perfectly honest, they are embarrassingly high, a piss-take if you will.

If there was a viable alternative to ship small parcels at reasonable costs, I would use it, but sadly there isn't, so we're snookered until RM actually work out which bony protuberance is their arse, and which is their elbow.

The short version is, I expect (or hope), that this suspension of posting to non-UK destinations is very temporary, as soon as I can access the discounted business shipping rates, we won't be shipping outside of the UK - I really hope this will only be until sometime in the week commencing 28st April - in the meantime, please accept my apologies and I thank you for your patience.
